BEGINNINGS...

As it happens with all passions, you don't choose them, but they choose you... And my case hasn't been an exception. A day, by chance, 20 years ago, a friend asked for a substitution at a gig in a well known pub... "I love music, but I have no idea about the rest", was my answer. And until today!! I like to think I have an MTV style, crib of today's music culture of the videoclip, where the best melodies of the world's charts sounded, as I was raised listening to that music 24/7

 

THE STYLE...

I consider i have a multidisciplinary style, overstepping borders of categorisation. Nor Pop, or Funk, nor House or Electro or Grunge. I am am what I like, and that's why I play a wide range of styles, where I try to focus in the style that triumphs in the dancefloor: doesn't a DJ mix for others? Let's be water...

 

THE BACKGROUND...

With dozens of sessions on my back, having been resident at Desigual Barcelona (at Mariano Cubi St, the former center of Barcelona's night clubbing in the 90's) for more then 8 years, I've DJ'd at many private parties, events and weddings. I have also been the DJ at several bar openings (which is supposed to be very relevant, because of what it implies), and played in many well known pub's (La Sal de Begur, La Villa, Novo, Bocayma, Belice Barcelona, MoMa, Sol...), and cooperated with most well known pubs in Barcelona and surroundings  (Ribelino's, La Plata, Oliver&Hardy, The End, Margarita Blue...). Moreover, I have worked for many relevant companies such as Longines, Nespresso, DIR, Porsche, Twitter, SanDisk, RCT Barcelona, IESE, Elecnor or the group Mas de Torrent (Relaix&Chateaux Mas de Torrent and hotel El Far), among others. And of course, for the best hotels: La Gavina, Princess, La Florida, Rey Juan Carlos, Melia Sarria, Havana Palace, Casa Fuster, Hilton Barcelona, the Ritz... (and in the future at W Barcelona). There are also significant places where I have had the privilege of playing, such as Pabellon de las Artes y las ciencias de Valencia, the very same stage of the Palau de la Música, or the Palacio Neptuno of Madrid

 

THE SECRET...

The best compliment it's when they repeat, or recommend you, and in that sense I have had the opportunity to cooperate with people that have accomplished both premises. The secret? The psychology to "read" the dancefloor, and a musical library and culture only reachable to those who feel real passion for music, and to enjoy of something you have really within: make people enjoy. I think that one has to find a perfect balance between music of nowadays together with the best of the 70's, 80's, 90's, or 00's to reach everybody, and leaving no one without listening to their preferred hit. Not in vaine , music is one of the "must" at any event, and a good election of the DJ is synonimous for success. If there is a parameter which a party depends of, that's undoubtfully music.
